LAS VEGAS
So, comedian George Wallace, the headliner at the Flamingo the last seven (nine?) years, is the final guest tonight on Jon Ralston’s show “Face to Face” on KSNV (Channel 3) in Vegas.
Ralston is known for having “filet of guest” on each night’s show.
Mr. Wallace, after a rollicking interview about politics, Vegas idiosyncrasies, and various pecadillos, says, “People ask me what’s the best ride in Las Vegas.”
Ralston (I think) plays along, and says, “What is the best ride?”
Wallace: “People ask, ‘Is it the Stratosphere?’ ‘Is it the rollercoaster at New York, New York?’.”
“What’s the best ride in Vegas?”
“I tell them the best ride is Shirley in Pahrump.”
“I can’t believe you just said that on this program! What if Shirley’s watching?”
“Shirley’s not watching.”
Ralston mugs.
“She’s working.”
Folks, you just can’t get television like that anywhere else.
