Feds Cracking Down on Fake Biker Lids

Not DOT-approved lids.

WASHINGTON, D.C.

The federal government is cracking down on those scofflaws who would try to circumvent motorcycle helmet laws by wearing novelty lids. For greater detail, you can check out my post about this on The New York Times’s Wheels blog this week.

But to illustrate the point here, there’s almost never a good outcome to not wearing the proper DOT-approved helmet.
